Our next project had to do with the issue of power.
One of the ways in which this manifested was in the battle between the sexes for supremacy and control.
我们接下来要面对的问题，就是权力的使用。
它所展现出来的方式之一，就是男性和女性之间，对控制权和优先权的争夺。
Long ago, women on this planet wielded great power and authority. Instead of ruling wisely, they regarded men as vastly inferior and treated them as slaves. Great abuses of power were done by women in those distant times. Some legends, such as those of the Amazons, speak of those days. Even today, there are a few tribal societies hidden away in remote corners of the Earth where women still rule in a heavy handed manner. Eventually, women’s power was totally stripped away.
很久之前，女性在地球上拥有着强大的权力和权威。她们并没有使用这种力量进行明智的治理，相反地，她们不把男性放在眼里，并视他们为奴隶。在那个遥远的时代，女性严重地滥用了权力。在某些传说之中，比如亚马逊的传说，描述了那些日子。即便是现在，在地球的偏远角落仍然有一些部落社会，在那里，女性仍然以严厉的手段进行着统治。不过最终，女性所拥有的权力被完全地剥夺了。
Next, we entered an era where men held the authority. We are experiencing the end of this phase right now. One might think that those who had suffered terribly as victims, experiencing firsthand the results of abuse of power, would have developed the compassion to rule wisely. Unfortunately, as observed in earthly history, this has not been the case.
然后，我们步入了新的时代，男性掌握了控制权。我们现在正处于这个阶段的终结时期。有人可能会认为，那些曾经遭受了巨大痛苦的受害者，亲身体验了权力滥用苦难，应该会发展出进行明智地治理的同理心。不幸的是，正如在地球历史上所观察到的那般，情况并非如此。
When men seized the reins of power, they proved themselves to be just as bad as the women had been. It was now women’s turn to become second class citizens. This condition of inequality is still prevalent in many areas of the world, although the situation is steadily changing to one of greater balance and equality.
当男性权力在握的时候，他们的表现就像那些曾经拥有权力的女性一样糟糕。不过情况变成了女性成为二等公民。虽然这种状况正在朝着更多的平等和平衡的方向稳定地转变，但是这种不平等的状况现在在世界上的很多地方都很普遍。
Finally, as the tides turned once again, women began to reawaken and reclaim their lost identities while confusion reigned. Women looked to men as their role models for power. In their haste to emerge, they started acting like men, equating men’s behavior with empowerment.
最终，浪潮再次进行了扭转。女性开始觉醒，虽然状况还是混乱，女性重新拿回来她们的身份。女性将男性视为使用权力的榜样。为了跟他们齐头并进，她们也开始像男性一样行事，把男性的行为，认同为权力的赋予。
Of course, this was not the case and women have needed to learn how to be true women, not some silly stereotype. In order to be an empowered woman, we have to accept and embrace the full scope of femininity including the admittedly scary female shadow side.
然而，事实并非如此，女性要学习成为真正的女性，而不是成为某种愚蠢的刻板印象。为了成为自我赋权的女性，我们必须接受并且去拥抱全部的女性面向，也包括承认女性所拥有的令人恐惧的阴暗面。
Women’s shadow side is the dark witch goddess immersed in magic, manipulation and heartless seduction––not exactly the image that most women want to identify with. Yet this shadow side is ever present in a subtle, unconscious way within all women until they learn to integrate it. Integration of dark and light is an essential part of becoming whole.
女性的阴暗面是充满了黑色魔法、操控以及无情诱惑的暗黑女神 — 这不是大多数女性想要认同的形象。然而，这个阴暗面至今仍然以一种微妙的方式存在于所有的女性潜意识之中，直到女性学会去整合这部分。为了重新变得完整，完成光明与黑暗之间的整合是必须的。
As we love our shadow self into wholeness, her qualities are transformed. Intrigue becomes insight, intuition replaces manipulation and there is an emergence of women’s deep healing wisdom. Thus are women coming into their true feminine power.
当女性把自己的阴暗面整合好之后，女性的特质就开始发生转化。诱惑变为洞察力，直觉取代了操控，继而出现了女性内在深刻的疗愈智慧。女性也因此开始发挥她们真正的女性力量。
Men have undergone a similar journey. While they held the outward power, they were living under an illusion, since there was no real balance. Their power took the form of an aggressive dominance rather than ruling with wisdom and service. And just as men disempowered women, they also shut down their own feminine sides. This served no-one, for who remained to provide the clear insight, devoted nurturing and loving compassion which the feminine brings?
男性也会经历相似的过程。尽管他们拥有着外在的力量，他们却生活在一种幻相之中，因为并没有建立真正的平衡。他们的力量是以一种侵略性的统治来体现的，而不是以智慧和服务的方式。就像男性剥夺了女性的权力一样，他们也封闭了自己内在的女性面向。这对任何人都没有好处，因为封闭了这部分，他们也失去了女性面向所带来的内在的清晰度，深度的滋养，还有充满爱的同理心。
As the balance of power, or rather, the imbalance of power, was shifting, men began discovering their inner female. Opening the doors to their emotions, they activated their receptivity, intuition, tenderness and sensitivity. You might think this would balance everything out, but it did not. Now we were beginning to have strong women and lots of sensitive men. What we didn’t have were strong, balanced men and they were greatly needed!
随着力量的平衡开始转移，更确切地说，是失衡的力量开始转移，男性也开始发现他们内在的女性面向。他们打开了自己的情绪，他们启动了自己的接受力、直觉力，也接受了自己柔软和敏感的一面。你或许认为，平衡现在开始发生了，但是并非如此。现在，开始出现了很多强大的女性，以及多愁善感的男性。还是没有出现同时具备坚强和敏感特质的男性，而这种人，是最为需要的！
Men were forced to go one step further and reclaim their true male identity. They were no more thrilled about this than the women had been, for they too had to accept and integrate their terrible shadow side. The male shadow is the ruthless warrior, bloodthirsty and cruel; definitely not something that a sensitive male wants to claim as his own. Yet, it simply had to be done.
男性又被迫更进一步，重新找到他们真正的男性身份。他们也会震惊，要跟女性一样，去接受，并整合自己可怕的阴暗面。男性的阴暗面，是无情的战士，嗜血和残酷。这绝对不是任何一个有感情的男性想要认同的地方。然而，整合必须要完成。
Whether it was out of desperation or great courage, men have been integrating their male shadows.
不论是出于内心的绝望还是勇气，男性一直都在整合着他们男性的阴暗面。
They are discovering the deep springs of strength, fidelity and vigorous capability which the male shadow brings when he is loved into wholeness.
当他们在爱之中变得完整之后，他们也发现了整合好男性阴暗面所带来的力量、忠诚和旺盛精力的源泉。
Now comes the New Beginning for men and women. We can finally unite together in the way it was always meant to be. As equals, complements and cocreators.
现在，男性和女性之间，有了新的开始。我们终于可以按照原本该有的方式团结起来，互相尊重，互相补充，共同创造。
We have waited such a long time for this to manifest….
我们等待了如此漫长的时间把这一切显化出来…
