Part Nine: Day 5 – AN UNEXPECTED ACCIDENT!

On the evening of November 12, after our magical day at Moray, I experienced a very strong fall in the upstairs bathroom of our house. I suddenly lost balance and crashed into several walls, then landed hard on the tile floor. It felt very violent and afterwards I had pain in several parts of my body and could not walk.

11月12日夜晚，在Moray度过了神奇的一天后，我在家楼上的浴室里猛地摔了一跤。我突然失去平衡，接连撞向几面墙，然后重重地摔在瓷砖地板上。冲击感感觉非常剧烈，之后我身体多处疼痛，无法行走。

The following day, I stayed in bed for a few hours as I couldn’t navigate the stairs. Finally, Gaurhari suggested that I be carried down the stairs on a blanket, like they do in India. Four strong men each took a corner of the blanket and carried me down. It was scary and bumpy, but I made it down successfully. Then I was placed on a desk chair with wheels. (out of respect nobody took pictures of this adventurous way to come down the stairs.)

第二天，我在床上躺了几个小时，我也无法下楼，终于，Gaurhari 建议像印度人那样，用毯子把我抬下楼梯。四个壮汉每人抓着毯子的一角，把我抬了下去。虽然很吓人，颠簸不平，但我还是成功下来了。然后我被放置在一把带轮子的办公椅上。（出于尊重，没有人拍下这种冒险的下楼梯方式。）

I wasn’t prepared for this and we didn’t have a wheelchair, crutches or a cane. The only way I could move about was being held up by Emanaku. I couldn’t put any weight on my leg.

我对此毫无准备，我们既没有轮椅，也没有拐杖。我只能靠着Emanaku的搀扶走路。我的腿无法负重。

Kalasara took over the teaching of the 11:11 Sacred Spiral Dance which was being performed at the Heart of AN for the very first time, while Emanaku and I went to the hospital in the nearby town of Urubamba to get some X rays. Argon came with us to translate. In Urubamba we tried to rent a wheelchair, but none were available.

Then is when we discovered that I had fractured my femur and would not be able to walk unaided for around six months! The medical people wanted me to go immediately to Cuzco to have an operation. to put a pin in my femur. Emanaku talked to a doctor there who said that I would need to spend five nights in the hospital before the actual operation. I looked around at our beloved group and realized that I couldn’t bear to leave them. Our time together was too precious. I didn’t want to miss one single night with them.

这时我们发现我的股骨骨折，大约六个月内都无法独立行走！医护人员让我立即去库斯科做手术，在我的股骨上打个钉子。Emanaku 和那里的一位医生谈过，医生说我需要在医院住五个晚上才能正式手术。我看着我心爱的团体，意识到自己舍不得离开他们。我们在一起的时光太珍贵了。我不想错过和他们在一起的任何一个夜晚。

There was also the problem that I could no longer go up the stairs to our bedroom and my office! Fortunately, Benedikt and Yaxi voluntarily offered us our downstairs guest room and moved temporarily to sleep on our living room couch. This was a drastic, unexpected change ~ not being able to walk unaided and not being able to sleep in our bedroom ~ all while being in the midst of some of the most important ceremonies of my life.

还有一个问题，我再也无法上楼去卧室和办公室了！幸好，Benedikt 和 Yaxi 主动把楼下的客房让给了我们，他们暂时睡在客厅的沙发上。这真是一个意想不到的巨变——我既不能独立行走，也不能在卧室睡觉——而这一切都发生在我人生中最重要的几个仪式期间。

I decided not to have the operation and instead to call upon the White Dragon to heal me. We still had ten more days of Ceremonies to do and I knew that I couldn’t miss them!

我决定不做手术，而是祈求白龙来治愈我。我们还有十天的仪式要进行，我知道我不能错过！

Here our group met to perform the Sacred Spiral Dance. Although this sacred dance had never been performed at the Heart of AN, Emanaku and I did not participate. Instead, we were at the hospital in Urubamba getting X rays of Solara.
